About the client
The client is a company operating in the logistics and transport sector, managing a large fleet of trucks. Their main goal is to ensure accurate vehicle location data and its smooth transfer to other operational systems.
Challenge
The company faced a problem - the data received from the tracking devices was inaccurate, sometimes out of sync with the actual road position. It also lacked a centralized system that could quickly process and transmit large amounts of data in real time to other applications.
Solution
Our team has developed an advanced data collection and processing system that integrates with Teltonika tracking devices. Using Open Street Routing Machine (OSRM) technology, we have brought the coordinates to the exact roads, and the caching solution has allowed us to provide processed data extremely quickly. The system runs on Linux, data is stored and managed in the PostgreSQL database, and the logic is implemented in Python.
Result
The developed system ensures extremely accurate and fast provision of vehicle data – it has become an essential data source for various logistics, communication and route planning systems. The solution has improved data accuracy, reduced processing time and increased the operating efficiency of the entire transport Infrastructure.
