Transics data collection system

The client is an international logistics and transport company that relies on reliable vehicle tracking and telematics data analysis. The company uses various external data providers to ensure efficient route planning, fuel consumption control and driver time tracking.

In order to effectively utilize the information from Transics, one of the most reliable telematics data providers, it was necessary to create a system that could reliably collect, process and transfer large amounts of data to the customer's information systems. The most important challenges were ensure data accuracy, fast processing and optimize data storage resources.

NOTAS IT team has developed a NodeJS-based system that periodically checks Transics API, obtains the necessary data, converts it and stores it in MongoDB database. The system transfers the processed data to external client systems via HTTP API, ensuring smooth integration with other business platforms. One of the strengths of the project is the smart data collection and comparison logic, which allows to significantly reduce the need for data storage and increase performance.

The developed solution allows for efficient processing of large amounts of telematics data, ensuring fast and stable transmission. The client can rely on accurate, real-time updated data, which has improved transport management processes and increased the overall reliability of IT systems. The system has become an important part of the logistics solution chain, providing real business value.
